Mexico Holidays Quick Guide

Mexico is a country you have to visit at least once in your life. Definitely not for the faint hearted, it’s clash of cultures and vibrant festivals offer the visitor an exciting and fun filled holiday. Fantastic beaches, exciting nightlife and a fascinating ancient culture are all here to be explored. Mexico holidays are always rewarding.

Mexican Culture

Mexican culture is a true melting pot. The original Mexicans were an Indian people with their own specific culture. Mexico also has strong Spanish ties indeed the language spoken is Spanish and the Christian religion and traditions are practiced throughout the whole country. Although there are still people of purely Mexican Indian descent and some of purely Spanish descent, the majority of the population is known as mestizo which is a combination of Mexican and Spanish.

Manana

It’s  a well known and lazy cultural stereotype – that of the lazy Mexican lazing in the sun not allowing anything to hurry him, however, the legend does have it’s roots in some reality. The temperament of the people is very laid back and buses or trains do not always run on time. It sometimes seems that things can break down all too frequently as well. While this can be frustrating at first to the visitor, it’s best to try and sync with the mind set of the locals and try and relax. You’ll get there in the end!

Holidays Weather

Mexico is now an all year round holidays destination, although December is the busiest month of the year for beach visitors to Cancun and around. It would be advised to avoid the rainy season , which to all intents and purposes is summer, which runs from roughly June to October. During this time of the year, unexpected downpours can materialise out of nothing which could dampen your day at the beach. The best time of year to visit is probably November when the air is at it’s freshest and the the climate is quite pleasing.
